Simon Says: KidloLand App Rules!

A few weeks ago the people at KidloLand reached out to me to see if I was interested in reviewing their toddler early learning app. Since I have a toddler who doesn’t often get to play with electronics, I knew that it might take some time to formulate a good review, but I decided to go for it after I played around a bit.

There is a TON of great content to choose from, which I was excited about because I am getting tired of the one Simon sized app that I had prior to KidloLand.

After I downloaded the app and played a bit I put the iPad in Simon’s hands so that I could do something… I played one song for him, Old MacDonald, and he was sold. The next day I explored a bit further with Simon and I became even more convinced. The content seems endless, truly. Read More

Simon Says: Check Out This Baby K’tan SmartGear Diaper Bag! (GIVEAWAY!)

A few months ago I had the opportunity to review a Baby K’tan baby carrier, which I absolutely swore by when Simon was smaller. When I found out that Baby K’tan was introducing a new diaper bag, I knew that I had to check it out!

Hook, Thread & Tinker | Baby K'tan SmartGear Diaper Bag Review & Giveaway

Look at how much stuff this bag holds!

I was excited to try the Smart Gear bag because the diaper bag that I have been using since Simon was born is BIG and doesn’t squish at all, meaning that I can’t easily stuff it under the stroller or in other tight spaces, which is a total bummer. It is also a very structured shoulder bag, not a cross body, and it’s not at all easy to maneuver a baby with the bag on my shoulder. Seriously, time for a change. Read More

Simon Says: Get Clean With Dropps! (GIVEAWAY+Discount Code)

If you’ve been reading for awhile you know that I only promote products that I actually use, have actually tried, and actually like. I LOVE trying new products and I enjoy sharing the things that my family and I are using and loving on my blog, so when Dropps reached out to me, I knew that I wanted to try their scent and dye-free product. Good enough for Oprah, good enough for me :).

In all seriousness, I was actually a little hesitant because when a company that I have never heard of reaches out I sometimes think, “ok, what now?!”. The email seemed normal enough (ha!), she specifically referenced the Simon Says series, so I knew it wasn’t spam, and upon further review of their website, it seemed totally legit. This is when I usually start to get excited because when someone reads my blog and reaches out to collaborate, there’s no better compliment. Read More

Simon Says: We *heart* Bravado Nursing Bras! (GIVEAWAY)

Before Simon was born I had a strong desire to breastfeed, but I also knew that there was a possibility that I wouldn’t be able to do it. I refused to put too much pressure on myself about the whole thing, but I did prepare. One of the things that I did was to purchase a few nursing bras. I followed the advice of waiting until as close to delivery as possible and I went to a boutique store in Chicago to be fitted.

I tried on probably a dozen bras and I ended up with 3 – 2 of which were Bravado Designs, and the only ones that I still wear today. I bought 2 of the Bodysilk Seamless bras based on the recommendation that they were the best and I have worn them most days since Simon was born. I recently bought a 3rd Bodysilk Seamless bra and Bravado Designs sent me the Sublime Nursing bra to try. These bras – both of them – are amazing. Read More

Simon Says: Silikids is Awesome! (GIVEAWAY!)

A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to try out some of the new Silikids products. I was really excited to try them because I immediately loved the look of the products. Great colors and amazing packaging. I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but you know…

SILIKIDS1

We’ve been using the same spoons and sippy cups since Simon started eating solids / drinking water from a sippy cup, so I was looking forward to branching out a bit. These fun products were a great branch out. I love that they’re silicone and thus, really durable – I also really like that Simon will grow into them, but they’re still usable, even before he’s feeding himself. Read More
