A few weeks ago the people at KidloLand reached out to me to see if I was interested in reviewing their toddler early learning app. Since I have a toddler who doesn’t often get to play with electronics, I knew that it might take some time to formulate a good review, but I decided to go for it after I played around a bit.
There is a TON of great content to choose from, which I was excited about because I am getting tired of the one Simon sized app that I had prior to KidloLand.
After I downloaded the app and played a bit I put the iPad in Simon’s hands so that I could do something… I played one song for him, Old MacDonald, and he was sold. The next day I explored a bit further with Simon and I became even more convinced. The content seems endless, truly.
KidloLand describes their app as ‘one of the best apps for kids (0-5 yrs) with 245+ nursery rhymes & songs and 100+ mini games and activities.”.
There are many categories to choose from within the one app.You can work on letters, shapes, months, listen to songs / nursery rhymes, learn about vehicles… and way more. The is so much good content in this app.
As a parent who tries to limit screen time I am excited to have something new in the repertoire for long car rides or distraction times and KidloLand fits the bill. I like that there is an educational element to all to the songs and games. A couple of the things that I opened were still a bit advanced for Simon, but the songs and rhymes are definitely winners.
This is an app for toddlers, so it is bright and the songs are very cutesie… but Simon loves it and if he can be distracted while hopefully learning something that works for me.
Last week Simon got pneumonia (the worst) and we had to introduce a nebulizer into our routine multiple times per day for a few days. Insert needing a solid distraction that would keep the mask on Simon for a good 10-15 minutes. Thank you KidloLand boat, car and train songs for entertaining my 2 year old reliably every time!
There is much more to explore in this app and I couldn’t possibly do it justice just by talking about it. The good news is that KidloLand is offering 6 month subscriptions to 3 of my blog readers. Win yours here…
