My niece has been wearing Pediped shoes for ages (ages in almost 2 year old time that is), so when Pediped reached out to see if I was interested in doing a review and giveaway for my blog readers, I didn’t hesitate to say “absolutely!”. I am familiar with the brand because of my niece and it’s been vetted by her for comfort and cuteness. Sold!
I immediately went to the Pediped Originals page and I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites. What do you think? Seriously cute options for both boys and girls, right?
I ended up getting Simon the Originals Channing in Navy but I could have easily gone with several other options. The Pediped Originals are made for children from 0-24 months. They are crafted to aid in learning to walk – the shoes have a leather sole to mimic barefoot walking and do not force children to change their natural stride. I really appreciate that they are cute but practical.
The minute I put the shoes on Simon I could tell that he was able to comfortably put weight on both feet (with assistance) and, as a bonus, he was not trying to kick them off. I spend a lot of time helping Simon stand and his feet are always slipping out from under him – they didn’t in the Pediped Originals, which was great! I really like that even when on his tummy the shoes give him more traction than his socks to push off the ground – maybe we’ll have a crawler pretty soon.
For a baby who recently became VERY interested in his feet (touching, putting them in his mouth, and balancing on them), the Pediped Originals were a big hit.
They’re great for my niece too. She obviously is already walking, but she’s just learning to fasten her own shoes and the velcro makes it fun for her to do. it’s serious business.
I am excited to offer a giveaway for a pair of Pediped Originals, sizes newborn to 24 months to one of my readers. US or Canada residents only, please.
In addition to being well-constructed and cute, the Pediped Originals shoes have been recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) as being beneficial for children’s growing feet. I really love that Pediped promotes healthy foot development and I know that we’ll be buying them for Simon for a long time.
Pediped offers 3 footwear lines including Originals (soft soled shoes for children ages birth to 2), Grip ‘n’ Go (soft rubber soled shoes for children 9 months to three years) and Flex (rubber soled shoes for children 1-8 years). Shoes for the whole family? Ok!
Which pair are your favorite?
P.S. There’s a buy one get one 50% off sale through today at Pediped.
I was given a pair of Pediped Originals in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own. Images are from pediped.com or original to Hook, Thread & Tinker.
Congratulations to Joanna M. for winning the Benefit Cosmetics Beauty Bash giveaway.
