A couple of months before we were scheduled to leave for Mexico, Snapper Rock contacted me to try out their super cute protective baby sun wear. Perfect timing! I had a hard time selecting a favorite thing to try, but ended up selecting the Toweling Onesie because I knew that I would use it both at swimming lessons in Chicago and the pool / beach in Mexico.
The Snapper Rock collections are great – I could have selected a number of sunsuits if we spent more time in the sun (maybe we should just move to the beach). In addition to the Toweling Onesie, here are a few favorites:
Snapper Rock offers clothing for girls and boys – if I had a girl she would absolutely wear the vintage floral or polka dots. Adorable. For Simon, I am, of course, partial to anything with stripes though the whales and fishes are also pretty darn cute.
We were very happy with our Toweling Onesie, which seemed to be true to size. Simon is almost 7 months (holy!) wearing 6-12 months at Baby Gap (which is still a smidge too big) and the Toweling Onesie in 6-12 months fit him perfectly.
I thought that the terry cloth Toweling Onesie was perfect for warming up after playing in the pool – even in Mexico when it was 80+ degrees. In the pictures above Simon is lounging in our palapa with a cool breeze coming through the sides. Perfect.
I love the navy and white nautical colors and I’m fairly certain that Simon felt like a celebrity posing for photos by the pool… pretty soon he’s going to be asking for fans and grapes and Evian water :).

I don’t know why, but I love these blurry, blown-out, images from the beach.
