Before Simon was born I had a strong desire to breastfeed, but I also knew that there was a possibility that I wouldn’t be able to do it. I refused to put too much pressure on myself about the whole thing, but I did prepare. One of the things that I did was to purchase a few nursing bras. I followed the advice of waiting until as close to delivery as possible and I went to a boutique store in Chicago to be fitted.
I tried on probably a dozen bras and I ended up with 3 – 2 of which were Bravado Designs, and the only ones that I still wear today. I bought 2 of the Bodysilk Seamless bras based on the recommendation that they were the best and I have worn them most days since Simon was born. I recently bought a 3rd Bodysilk Seamless bra and Bravado Designs sent me the Sublime Nursing bra to try. These bras – both of them – are amazing.
I’ve talked about another nursing and pumping bra on the blog before, but for nursing bras specifically, Bravado Designs are my absolute favorite.

These bras are super comfortable and more supportive than other nursing bras that I have tried. The Bodysilk Seamless bras have pads that offer additional coverage, but the Sublime Nursing bra is really pretty and feels like you’re putting on something special.
I have worn and washed these nursing bras a LOT and they have held up as well as any other bra that I own. If you’re looking for a bra with a bit more coverage and as comfortable as a sports bra, I would recommend the Bodysilk Seamless bra. If you want something just as comfortable but with a bit less padding I would recommend the Sublime Nursing bra. Both of these bras adapt to your changing body both before and after pregnancy.
This is what you’ll love about the Sublime Nursing Bra:
Nursing Lingerie: go ahead, show off your radiant style with soft delicate lace, and a beautiful fabric design
Cotton Lining: we’ve thought of everything such as breathable and comfortable cotton lining inside the cups and against your skin keeping you comfortable all day long
Soft Lace Nursing Bra: the fabric is soft to the touch and stretchy enough to fit your changing size so that you can wear as a nursing or maternity bra. Purchase your size in Sublime while pregnant and experience the enjoyment of continuing to wear it while nursing your new born baby.
Bra fits up to a K Cup: This nursing bra is available in fashionable colors that fit up to a J/K cup.
Full Access: Cups unclip at the shoulder and drop down and away from your body to give baby full access to your breast, providing you and your baby with skin-to-skin contact which is essential, especially when establishing a breastfeeding rhythm.
Nursing clips that stay closed: proprietary clips lie flat under close-fitting clothing and easily open and close with one hand.
You will absolutely love these bras! They wear and wash well, they are comfortable, and they are easy to maneuver while balancing a wiggly baby.
Breastfeeding is a journey that I am proud of – it’s been what has worked for me and Simon. Though hard, it’s been made slightly easier because of these great bras – especially the full access panels that allow me to be close to Simon without getting completely undressed. I’d love to know if you wear them currently or try one soon.
