Fast forward to June 2014 and all of a sudden baby shoes, especially those that would stay on Simon’s feet, felt more appealing. Is there anything cuter than baby shoes? Ok, maybe baby… 🙂
When I went to pick a pair of moccasins I had a really hard time because I love all of the colors (and was impressed with the selection of “boy friendly” colors – some favorites above). I ended up selecting the denim on denim suede because I thought that they looked great and would match with everything. I also wasn’t at all concerned about the way suede would wear because Simon isn’t exactly pounding the pavement in them yet.
When the shoes arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the cute packaging and quality of the shoes themselves. They are hip for sure, but also really nicely made. I can see why Freshly Picked is so popular!
At the moment Simon mainly dresses for rolling around on the floor, so I definitely wanted a shoe that was going to grow with him. I ordered a size up hoping that they’ll last a long while and I was surprised that, even though they’re a bit too big, they still stayed on his feet (even when he was rolling around on the floor, being carried, and kicking his feet).
I really like the feel of these shoes, they are super soft and I can tell that they’re quality made. The best part is that Simon didn’t seem to mind them as much as he minds other, heavier, shoes – he didn’t try to kick these off at all – maybe because they feel like socks that he is very used to?
I could probably buy about 5 more pair for Simon, but since I have a very practical husband who doesn’t think that our 4 month old needs 12 pairs of shoes, I’ll wait until he gets a tad older. Hmmph!
