I spent the morning researching the Philippines for our vacation. I think we’re going to be spending time doing a bit of island hopping (when I typed that, I was thinking “island hopping” in a Jamaican accent, which is weird since we’ll be in the Philippines and Filipinos don’t sound anything like Jamaicans).
I have confirmed that they will be weighing me AND my luggage prior to boarding the 19 seat aircraft to get to El Nido. Ok a) 19 seater and b) I already have a serious weight complex that this isn’t going to help. Someone tell me that people WAY fatter than me travel on 19 seater aircraft all of the time.
I have been going to the gym at least 4 days a week since I joined – sometimes I only do cardio (but there are TVs, so I do 40 minutes with Khloe and Lamar and it goes by REAL fast) and sometimes I do some weights. I’ve even been known to throw in a few burpies, but those are my arch nemisses, so I have to be in the mood for one of those workouts. I am going to go today, but I was going to go earlier, especially after my vacation research (shiver), but then it started to thundersnow and that seemed like a really nice opportunity to bake chocolate chip cookies.
This is why I shouldn’t be home during the day. I could have been roasting the veggies I bought at the market last night, or sewing or running in place, but instead, instead I made cookies. For J because he likes them. I even measured out the chocolate chips because last time he said there were too many. But cookies don’t help my diet plan. I accidentally over-baked most of them due to distractions, so at least I won’t enjoy them (and neither will J, oops. Sorry.).
This picture actually makes them look pretty awful. Ha.
p.s. Any book recommendations to share? Easy beach reads? I have a lot of plane time ahead of me and I bought a Kindle for the occasion (working on keeping my luggage light).
